The Cellular Science Behind Healthy Dog Aging

At LeapYears® we measure success in the vitality, presence and play in dogs’ senior years. Developed by Animal Biosciences (a companion animal longevity pioneer cofounded by Harvard genetics professor, Dr. David Sinclair), our dual-action system delivers an uncompromising approach to dog wellness.

By targeting cellular decline, LeapYears® safeguards your dog’s cognitive sharpness and activity.

TWO MECHANISMS. ONE POWERFUL FORMULA.

Senolytic/NAD+ Combo

Selectively targets and aids the clearance of senescent cells—damaged "zombie cells" that naturally accumulate with age and builds vital NAD+ reserves.

THE NAD+ PRECURSOR

Increases NAD+ to optimize metabolic function inside cells, supports alertness, and deep connection to family activities.

While every dog's system is unique, our university clinical study showed noticeable improvements in engagement, vitality, and cognitive sharpness within 3 months of daily use.

It is best to consult your veterinarian before starting any supplement.  The safety of Leap Years was evaluated in both pre-clinical and clinical studies and ongoing tracking of safety reports is made through the National Animal Supplement Council Reporting System.

Because animal supplements are largely unregulated, manufacturing in an FDA-registered and audited facility ensures our production meets strict, human-grade safety, purity, and quality control guidelines.

Yes, while aging is driven by genetics and environment, you can actively slow the process through lifestyle changes, good nutrition and medical care. Targeted cellular supplements like LeapYears® support your dogs’ whole-body health along the way.

Healthy aging means your dog stays physically strong, flexible, and cognitively engaged without suffering from rapid age-related decline. It focuses on supporting their vitality, blood chemistry, and cellular health as they grow older.

With over 300,000 daily administrations, reported side effects are rare (<1 in a 1000) and temporary. The include mild stomach upset (vomit and diarrhea), itchiness, lethargy and agitation. In a clinical trial, reported side effects were no different than those of the placebo group.

No. Puppies and young dogs (under 50% of their expected lifespan) do not need it. Young dogs naturally maintain high cellular energy (NAD+) and have very few damaged "zombie" cells. LeapYears® is optimized for adult and senior dogs.

LeapYears® is a simple monthly regimen. You give the light-colored chews for the first 2 consecutive days of the month to help clear out old, damaged cells. For the remaining days of the month, you give the dark-colored chews daily to continuously boost cellular energy.

Yes! There are zero animal proteins in Leap Years. We use a beef “flavor” only to avoid this common allergen. They are safely formulated for dogs with food intolerances.

Don't stress. If you miss a few daily dark chews, just pick up right where you left off. If you miss the 2-day light chew window at the start of the month, you can give them on any two consecutive days—just aim to give them around that same date the following month.

Don’t panic and monitor them closely. Contact your veterinarian if you are concerned. Our safety studies testing up to 30x the daily dose showed full recovery within 48 hours. Your dog may become lethargic, drink extra water, or experience temporary diarrhea. Feed a bland diet, and contact us immediately at support@leapyears.com or 1-888-850-1930 so our veterinary team can support you.

Standard vitamins only provide basic nutritional support. LeapYears is a clinical-grade cellular longevity supplement formulated with a dual-action system that actively targets the root causes of aging at a cellular level.
