Harvard scientists have shown that NAD+, a naturally occurring substance in the body, is critical to fighting the aging process and levels of NAD+ decline with age.
Naturally occurring senescent cells are important in preventing proliferation of damaged cells. However, their accumulation has been shown to be an important mechanism of aging.
Leap Years is a proprietary combination of molecules which work together to support healthy aging by boosting NAD+ and clearing senescent cells.
How To Take Leap Years®
Simple Schedule
It is as simple as feeding them a daily soft chew. Our soft chews have been formulated to provide the benefits of daily NAD+ boosting combined with a monthly senolytic to remove senescent cells.
Clinically tested
Healthy cells mean healthy dogs. Leap YearsÒ patented formula has been clinically tested to supports your pet’s vitality, mobility, muscle mass, and brain health.

Leap Years Trial and Research
Better Together (Senolytic and NAD+ booster in Combination)
Hypothesis: Treatment of aging dogs by oral administration of a senolytic and NAR supplement will stabilize or improve their owner perceived quality of life (QOL), activity and mobility levels, muscle mass and attention span when compared to dogs receiving a placebo.
Objectives
- Recruit 60 dogs meeting inclusion criteria regarding age, presence of co-morbidities, and level of cognition and mobility
- Obtain baseline data on QOL, physical examination, routine blood work and UA, mobility, activity, and cognition.
- Randomize to one of 3 treatment groups and initiate treatment and adverse event monitoring.
- Repeat testing at 1, 3 and 6 months post treatment.
- Determine longitudinal changes in the spheres of QOL, mobility, cognition.
What are we measuring?
- The clinically proven outcomes :
- Increased engagement – cognitive abilities (CADES scores)
- Increases vitality (activity monitors and owner scores)
- Increases mobility (activity monitors and owner scores)
- Maintained or increased muscle mass (MCS)
- Pet parent sees more energy and more engagement in their dog.
- More life in their dog and more dog in their life.

Dog Years vs Human Years
FROM AKC
As a general guideline, though, the American Veterinary Medical Association breaks it down like this:
- 15 human years equals the first year of a medium-sized dog’s life.
- Year two for a dog equals about nine years for a human.
- And after that, each human year would be approximately five years for a dog.
https://www.akc.org/expert-advice/health/how-to-calculate-dog-years-to-human-years/
We all know and love the progression of our pets from a playful puppy to a curious young adult, and then onto our best friend as a mature adult. Dogs spend the majority of their life as mature adults and it is where we love and rely on them just as much as they love and rely on us. It is also as mature adults where options become available to delay their progression towards becoming a senior and then geriatric dog. At Animal Bioscience we are devoted to delaying that progression to old dog.
Our approach uses using cutting edge research that is proven to increase vitality and health through the stimulators of genes that protect dogs against age related disease (NAD+ Boosters) and by minimising the detrimental effects of zombie (Senescent) cells that accumulate as dogs age.
Scientists are beginning to understand the underlying mechanisms of aging. We are translating this science to how your dog ages, how we can affect it and importantly affect your relationship with your dog and most importantly what can be done to keep more life in your dog and more dog in your life.
